FAQ
I have 2 small dogs/cats, and they get along beautifully. Must I separate them, or may they share a pen together?
Two small dogs may share the same pen. There is a discount for multiple pets, long-term stays, and military.
My pet needs daily medication. Is there an extra charge for that?
We are happy to administer medication without charge so long as you provide the medication, pill pockets (preferably) or cheese, and your veterinarian’s instructions.
My dog is old and arthritic. Do you have bedding, or can I bring my own?
We have hammock beds, and quilts which when folded provide padding for our Senior Citizens. We don’t accept pillows because neighbors can chew corners sticking through a pen, plus many older pets are incontinent and we are unable to wash pillows.
What if my pet becomes ill while I am away?
We require a contact number for you, and your veterinarian’s name & number on your boarding contract. We also have a very good relationship with all our local veterinary clinics.
What vaccinations / paperwork is required before my pet can be boarded at Chelsea's?
Rabies, bordetella (kennel cough), and whatever your veterinarian deems appropriate for your pet’s species (e.g. distemper for dogs, feline leukemia for cats).
Does Chelsea’s provide pet training?
We do not have staff for training at this time but hope to in the future.
Does Chelsea’s have doggie daycare available?
We offer limited doggy daycare mostly summers when a large fenced grassy area is available. Reliable, skilled staff is our priority; if we don't have them we do not offer the service.
